Grand Mesa Women’s Health Care has joined Family Health West and the growing line of services provided by the health care organization.
The new offices of Grand Mesa Women’s Health Care will be located in Suite 270 of the newly constructed Canyon View Medical Plaza at 2373 G Road.
Dr. Kevin Howell said he was ready to make a change after 19 years in practice in the Grand Valley.
“I had been looking for a better location and an updated facility in which to work. This search has ended with the construction of a new medical facility of which I am proud to be a part,” Howell said.
“Second, in conjunction with the move, I am excited to announce a new partnership between myself and Family Health West. We are working together to be able to provide women’s health care to the entire valley,” he added.
Howell plans to relocate the practice from Feb. 21 to 24 and begin seeing patients in his new offices starting Feb. 25.
Mark Francis, chief executive officer of Family Health West, said he was excited about the partnership with Grand Mesa Women’s Health Care. “Dr. Howell has an outstanding reputation for providing excellence in women’s health care. Family Health West will provide management of the business side so that Dr. Howell is able to more fully concentrate on his patients,” Francis said.
Howell holds a medical degree from North Texas State University. He served an internship at Tulsa Regional Medical Center. He trained at Harvard Medical School during his residency and also received a fellowship at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston. He served as chief of residents in his final year of residency. Howell practiced in California before moving to Grand Junction.
