The Mesa County Fundraisers’ Network has joined with Hoskin, Farina & Kampf and Two Rivers Trust Co. to host two free workshops as part of Write a Will Month.
The 90-minute workshops are set for 11 a.m. March 14 and 5:30 p.m. March 29 at the Mesa County Libraries central branch located near the intersection of Fifth Street and Grand Avenue in downtown Grand Junction.
Gregg Kampf, a partner in the Hoskin, Farina & Kampf law firm, and Marsha Harbert, senior trust officer with Two Rivers Trust, will cover the basics of wills and estate planning while helping participants avoid problems and make sure their wishes and values are reflected in their end-of-life planning.
“These workshops will help people to understand how their wishes and plans can be committed to a legal document without a great deal of hassle or money,” said Mary Hughes of the Mesa County Fundraisers’ Network. “And, of course, we hope people will think about their favorite nonprofit organizations and charitable projects — even their own personal legacy — as they make their end-of-life plans.”
