Downtown bakery and cafe adds to fare

Main Street Bagels has added two cream cheese spreads, two bagel sandwiches and a salad to the fare served at the artisan bakery and cafe in downtown Grand Junction.

Scallion cream cheese features whipped cream cheese with fresh chopped scallions. Horseradish dill cream cheese features whipped cream cheese with freshly grated horseradish and fresh dill weed.

The Super Heebster, inspired by the sandwich served at Russ & Daughters in Manhattan, features a bagel smeared with horseradish dill cream cheese, filled with whitefish and baked salmon salad and topped with wasabi flying fish roe. The Heebster is the same as the Super Heebster, only without the fish roe.

Main Street Bagels is located at 559 Main St. and serves bagels and other baked goods along with coffee and other beverages, sandwiches, salads and soups. For more information, call 241-2740 or visit
