I guess I’m going to hell in a handbasket

Just a little short rant* because Commander Cody deserved the space below.

And according to head coach of the Indiana Fever, Stephanie White, I’m already on my way. In White’s own inclusive and loving way, she’s told me, and millions of WNBA fans to, “Go to Hell!” Right before grabbing her woe-is-me statement and storming off.

As Dan Rather would say when not looking for those National Guard memos, “Courage.”

As Craigy would say, “That’s the least courageous thing White could have done.” I mean, how courageous is it to take a (woke) stand no one would come back at you for and then insult those who think differently and walk off in a huff? But that’s the “W” for ya. And you thought President Bush made a joke out of one letter.

Well, Coach, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and there’s a highway to hell and only a stairway to heaven. And you’re on the down escalator. So, right back atcha. Oh, and I’m passing you on the way UP.

Stephanie, fans can all see right through what you are doing and what you’re missing – kinda like that foul on Sophie. Maybe it’s time you realize folks think and do and say differently from your universe of love and inclusion. They have their own.

Fans just want to watch basketball, even the kind the WNBA serves up. They don’t want to get caught up in any of that funky stuff going down in the city.

So, before your next insulting tirade, take a reality-based stand instead of spewing words that sound like good intentions yet only divide. Again, your fan base just wants to tune into the game. Something most never did until a couple of years ago.

That’s where you need love and inclusion.

In Truth and freedom.

*This li’l rant was in no way influenced by my not-so-secret crush on Sophie Cunningham.
