The Museums of Western Colorado will host Harvest the Moment at Oktoberfest on Sept. 19 from 1 to 6 p.m. at Cross Orchards Historic Site, 3073 F Road in Grand Junction.
Admission is free, and Oktoberfest will feature musical performances by Izzy Burns and Keith McCloud, traditional polka music, train rides, lawn games, food, local vendors and festival competitions, including women’s and men’s stein-holding competitions and children’s and adult costume contests.
Guests ages 21 and older can purchase wristbands ($10 presale, $15 at the door) for craft beer from Ramblebine Brewing Company, while a limited number of VIP Beer Garden experiences are available for $100 and include reserved, shaded seating, a commemorative stein, a beer pass and an Oktoberfest meal.
“Oktoberfest is an opportunity to bring our community together to celebrate local music, breweries and traditions, while enjoying a beautiful historic setting and supporting the Museums of Western Colorado,” said Shenna Hayden, executive director of the Museums of Western Colorado.
