American Legion Lincoln Post 50 is hosting for the first time a Palisade Community Veterans’ Fair, which will take place on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, at Palisade Veteran’s Memorial Park. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and it is intended to honor veterans and inform attendees about the future of Palisade Veterans’ Memorial Community Center.
This year’s event will begin with an 8 a.m. bugle call and raising morning colors. Retreat and call to evening colors will take place at 4:59 p.m. Vendors, food trucks and a petting zoo will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., and the Palisade Lions Club is providing free hot dogs and chili dogs. An information booth from the Save Palisade Veterans’ Memorial Center Committee will be open all day.
Event organizers plan for this to be an annual event. For more information contact: Greg Schleck by calling 757-298-8307 or emailing giovane52732@gmail.com; or call Rick Fox at 970-314-5340 or email him at afoxlocks@gmail.com.
