Western Colorado Pediatrics, a division of Primary Care Partners, celebrated the success of its annual fundraiser benefiting the Kids Aid Backpack Program by presenting a check for $4,765 on Oct. 2.

The fundraiser helps ensure local children have access to nutritious food beyond the school week. The Kids Aid Backpack Program, a local nonprofit, provides weekend food support to children in School District 51 who may otherwise experience food insecurity.

From July 1 through Aug. 1, Western Colorado Pediatrics pledged to donate $5 for every well-child check completed at the practice, and 953 well-child visits were completed.
